Job Summary
Manages day-to-day operations of a senior living location (Good Samaritan, The Lodge of Taylors Falls), overseeing policies, occupancy management, safety procedures, and a strong sales/marketing engagement strategy to maintain occupancy targets. Leads staff, ensures quality care and privacy of resident records, coordinates maintenance and capital planning, and ensures compliance with Fair Housing and other regulations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Healthcare management preferred) and LALD certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year); three years of housing/marketing/occupancy experience; and current driver's license. Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and occupancy strategy skills are essential; on-call availability may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (degree focus in healthcare management or related field preferred; in lieu of degree, six years of experience acceptable)
- Licensed Assisted Living Director Certificate (LALD), or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Three years’ experience in housing, marketing/sales and occupancy management
- Experience working with the senior population preferred
- Current valid driver’s license (depending on location)
- Strong leadership, communication and strategic planning skills
- Ability to recruit, hire and train staff; maintain occupancy targets; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Fair Housing, federal, state and local regulations
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations
- Day shift availability (8:00am–4:30pm) and occasional evenings/weekends
