Job Summary
Lead the day-to-day, geographically dispersed Security Operations team as Incident Commander to protect Gartner’s reputation and assets. Drive operational excellence, orchestration of incident response, and delivery of detection content aligned to ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain. Mentor and develop team members, own automation initiatives to improve detection and response, and collaborate with stakeholders to detect, respond to, and remediate security issues while balancing a flexible/hybrid work environment across US time zones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or 6+ years of information security experience
- Experience leading a SOC, Hunt, or Incident Response team or progressive growth in a SOC environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and analyze security events and initiate timely responses
- Experience conducting and driving analysis and investigation of cybersecurity incidents
- Extensive experience with SIEM, EDR, web proxy and email security tools
- Ability to mentor, motivate, and coach team members
- Scripting or programming experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
