Job Summary
Manager/Satellite Kitchen is responsible for the efficient and proper operation of their assigned food service area; supervises kitchen personnel; trains new employees; determines quantities required for purchasing; places orders with outside vendors; maintains sanitation and safety standards; attends meetings; assists in special event catering or banquets; deposits daily receipts; assists in promotional/merchandising activities; interacts positively with scholars, parents, staff, and community; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Current Accredited Kitchen Manager Certification or the ability to receive within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and food handling procedures
- Cooking and/or baking experience or the ability to learn
- Ability to train others
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to train others
- Ability to work in a diverse environment
- Ability to participate as a member of a team
- Ordering/inventory/cash handling ability
- Willingness to promote and merchandise in a positive manner
