Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers to drive high-quality pre-sales engagement across assigned territories. Provide hands-on technical guidance during complex customer opportunities, align Cohesity’s Data Cloud portfolio to customer requirements (backup, recovery, cyber resilience, data security), and support RFPs/RFIs, proposals, and deal support. Deliver product demonstrations, technical workshops, and proofs of concept; identify technical challenges and collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to drive resolution. Partner with Sales Managers to ensure successful customer outcomes and enable efficient pre-sales execution across opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing or mentoring Sales Engineers or leading pre-sales teams
- Strong foundation in data protection, backup and recovery, cyber resilience
- Experience with on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Willingness to travel as required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience partnering with Information Security, IT, or Infrastructure teams
- Prior experience managing or mentoring Sales Engineers, or serving as a technical team lead within pre-sales, infrastructure, data protection, or security environments
- Strong technical foundation in enterprise data protection, backup and recovery, or cyber resilience technologies
- Working knowledge of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM) are a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel as required to support customers, partners, and team needs
