Job Summary
The Manager, Sales & Commission Data Governance leads a team of Analysts to govern, validate, and ensure the integrity of CRM opportunity data used for Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) calculations. Responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end governance for commissionable CRM opportunities, enforcing SIP rules and governance standards across regions, defining data quality metrics and KPIs, and acting as the primary escalation point between Sales, Revenue Intelligence, Finance, Deal Desk, and SIP Execution. You will own data definitions, lineage, controls, audit readiness, and collaborate with Finance, HR, Internal Audit, and Sales leadership to ensure auditable, accurate payout data and minimize disputes. The role emphasizes continuous improvement of validation processes, documentation of governance standards and decision frameworks, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support SIP execution and governance across a global organization.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Incentives/Commissions, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Finance
- Prior people management or team lead experience
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or equivalent) including opportunity and deal workflows
- Deep understanding of sales incentive mechanics, crediting logic, and common risk areas
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to operate confidently as a governance authority
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
