Job Summary
Oversees nursing unit operations on a day shift; provides leadership to nursing and ancillary staff; ensures patient safety and quality of care; collaborates with physicians and leadership; schedules staff; monitors outcomes; conducts rounds and coordinates care plans; directs personnel to ensure adequate staffing and optimal patient care; enforces standards of nursing practice and regulatory compliance; partners with clinical educators to support staff development and patient/family satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
- Facility Specific License/Certifications
