Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care and ensure adequate staffing through accurate scheduling and overtime authorization. Direct and supervise nursing personnel to maintain high patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance while resolving operational issues. Establish standards of care, lead team conferences to revise care plans, and monitor critical outcomes through data analysis and audits. Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and clinical educators to meet unit goals and improve staff and family satisfaction. Complete monthly staff schedules and conduct emergency preparedness reviews to ensure equipment and department safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
- Facility Specific License/Certifications
