Manager, RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary
Leads and supervises a Labor and Delivery unit, overseeing front-line nursing and ancillary staff to provide safe, high-quality, whole-person care. Maintains a strong clinical presence on the unit, collaborates with physicians and department leaders to optimize operations, schedules and coordinates daily activities, drives patient safety and quality initiatives, and coordinates education and staff development. Coaches and disciplines personnel as needed, monitors staffing and throughput, coordinates care plans with health teams and families, and ensures regulatory compliance and open communication to achieve patient/family/staff satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- RN licensure in the state of practice: Required
- CPR or BLS certification: Preferred
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- One year's leadership experience: Preferred
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting: Preferred
