Manager, RN - Full time - Day Shift - Surgery

Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, while assessing unit personnel needs and authorizing overtime as required. Direct and monitor nursing activities to ensure safe, complication-free outcomes, and investigate operational issues promptly. Build a high-performing team by recruiting staff, coaching personnel, and completing periodic evaluations. Manage the monthly unit schedule, forecast admissions, and facilitate throughput through early discharge and bed management. Establish standards of care, monitor critical processes via audits, and lead emergency preparedness reviews. Maintain a highly visible presence on the 151-bed surgical unit in Napa Valley, collaborating with charge nurses and department leaders to achieve organizational goals.
