Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care and monitor performance activities. Build a high-performing clinical team by recruiting, retaining personnel, and coaching staff while completing periodic evaluations. Schedule unit activities, manage overtime, and complete monthly staffing schedules to prevent short staffing. Investigate and resolve operational issues, coordinate care plans, and facilitate early discharge to improve throughput. Establish standards of care, monitor critical outcomes through audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
