Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, while directing nursing activities to ensure safe, complication-free outcomes. Schedule unit personnel, manage overtime, and complete monthly staffing schedules to maintain adequate coverage. Build a high-performing team by recruiting staff, coaching personnel, and completing periodic evaluations. Monitor critical processes through audits and incident reports to drive quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction. Lead unit operations to facilitate throughput via early discharges and timely admissions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
