Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, while supervising and directing nursing personnel to ensure safe, complication-free outcomes. Schedule unit activities, manage overtime, and complete monthly staffing schedules to optimize throughput and prevent short staffing. Build a high-performing team by recruiting staff, coaching individuals, and developing action plans for quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Monitor critical processes through data analysis and incident reports to maintain patient safety and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
