Conduct daily rounds with physicians and coordinate patient care plans through team conferences. Direct nursing staff to ensure safe, complication-free care while managing unit staffing, scheduling, and overtime authorization. Build a high-performing team by recruiting, coaching, and evaluating personnel, and establish standards for professional practice. Monitor critical processes through data audits and incident reports to drive quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Facilitate throughput by managing bed turnover and admission forecasting. Maintain a highly visible presence on the 151-bed surgical unit in Napa Valley, fostering open communication and staff satisfaction.
