Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, while directing and monitoring nursing activities to ensure safety and quality outcomes. Build a high-performing clinical team by recruiting talent, coaching personnel, and completing periodic evaluations. Manage unit operations by scheduling staff, authorizing overtime, and maintaining accurate monthly schedules to prevent staffing shortages. Investigate and resolve patient care and operational issues through data analysis and audits. Establish standards of care, facilitate early discharges, and conduct emergency preparedness reviews. Collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational goals and improve patient satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
