Job Summary
Direct and oversee the risk management program in collaboration with the corporate risk manager designee. Investigate and analyze actual and potential risks in the facility, assess liability and probability of legal action, and implement an incident reporting system. Monitor program performance data to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with administrative requirements. Create and implement policies that improve patient care and employee safety while serving as a consultant for performance improvement and policy development. Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, and performance reviews. Maintain a database of full disclosure activities and lead educational initiatives to enhance clinical understanding of the Full Disclosure process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a clinical healthcare field, risk management, business, finance, or a related field
- One or more years' supervisory experience
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in health information management, nursing, or related field
- Certifications related to health care risk management, safety, and or process improvement
- First aid
