Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end revenue accounting and accounts receivable functions, ensuring ASC 606 and US GAAP compliance; manage monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue close, deferred and accrued revenue, and revenue sub-ledger reconciliation. Analyze customer contracts and trade terms to determine revenue recognition and monitor gross-to-net deductions across channels (e-commerce, wholesale). Collaborate with Sales, Commercial Finance, and Legal to assess revenue implications of new contracts and promotions; manage customer pricing in SAP/ERP systems; supervise AR cycle, invoicing, cash posting, and collections, with DSO optimization and AR audit support. Provide SME guidance on revenue recognition policy, support SOX controls, and contribute to footnote disclosures and KPI dashboards. Lead process improvements in revenue and AR workflows, mentor junior staff, and support month/quarter/year-end close activities; experience in multi-channel or omnichannel retail environments and familiarity with TPM/chargebacks and BI tools preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 12 years of progressive accounting experience
- 6–8 years in revenue accounting and/or accounts receivable
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite or similar) and AR/revenue modules
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling)
- SOX compliance experience
- Ability to analyze large data sets and communicate results to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), beauty, retail, or e-commerce preferred
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Experience with TPM and chargebacks is a plus
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Experience in multi-channel/omnichannel retail revenue accounting
- IPO readiness or public company experience a plus
