Job Summary
Lead a team of 7 Revenue staff responsible for revenue accruals, royalty and tax filings, and related reporting; direct month-end close and variance analysis; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate revenue reporting; drive process improvements and maintain strong internal controls; oversee dataflow between Excalibur and other systems; collaborate with department leaders to streamline reporting and support acquisitions/divestitures; document policies and procedures; manage DR21W reporting to owners; mentor staff and foster professional development.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year undergraduate degree (Accounting/Finance), with 10+ years of oil and gas Revenue accounting experience, or high school diploma with +15 years of progressive oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent experience.
- +4 years supervisory experience.
- +8 years’ experience with and strong working knowledge of Excalibur or similar oil and gas accounting software.
- Past success in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships, while fostering and encouraging teamwork with various internal departments and external third parties.
- Very strong interpersonal skills regarding mentoring, training, professional development and motivation of staff.
