Manager, Revenue Accounting & Billing - Finance

Job Summary
Manage the post-close revenue engine for a SaaS/subscription business: own month-end close with revenue journals, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and variance analysis; ensure accurate invoicing and recognized revenue; oversee NetSuite-based revenue operations (Advanced Revenue Management) and data integrity; reduce DSO by diagnosing issues at CRM-to-ERP handoff; run order-to-invoice across multiple billing entities with tax compliance; deploy AI to automate repetitive tasks and surface anomalies; lead structural finance projects (US tax initiative, revenue tech stack review) and coordinate across Finance, RevOps, and Customer Success; report to Director of Finance and manage three direct reports (Billing & Cash Application Specialists and AR Analyst who owns collections); collaborate with Expenses, Revenue Ops, and Customer Success; drive automation and improvements in subscriptions, billing, and tax processes.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- 7–10 years of finance experience including at least 3 in revenue accounting, billing operations, or finance operations within a SaaS or subscription business
- Strong knowledge of subscription revenue mechanics (recurring billing, contract amendments, renewals, deferred revenue, ARR mapping to recognized revenue)
- ASPE revenue recognition (Section 3400); IFRS 15 or ASC 606
- NetSuite experience (preferred, including Advanced Revenue Management) or equivalent ERP; subscription billing platform (Recurly, Zuora, Maxio)
- Indirect/sales tax experience in a SaaS context; Avalara experience a plus
- Direct people-leadership experience
- Active use of AI tools in finance/operations
