Job Summary
Provides leadership, planning, and coordination for day-to-day operations and staffing of Respiratory Care services in the hospital, facility, and related areas. Leads a department typically under 45 caregivers at a Trauma level 3+ facility, ensures adequate staffing, skill mix, competency, and budget adherence; collaborates with departments and physicians; develops and evaluates patient-care programs; maintains regulatory compliance and cost-effective practices; oversees budgeting, equipment maintenance, and process improvements; may work clinical shifts as needed; requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and clinical expertise in respiratory care, including NICU scope and credentialed staff.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated respiratory therapy experience is required
- Demonstrated experience supervising and leading a team(s) is required
- Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist in state of practice is required
- Current NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is required
- Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy or related field from an accredited program is required
