Job Summary
Lead the operational clinical management of the Early Phase Oncology Research Program by overseeing patient screening workflows, optimizing enrollment, and driving continuous process improvement. Collaborate with physicians and research staff to identify trial candidates, standardize screening protocols, and maintain accurate patient tracking databases. Serve as the primary clinical resource for screening operations and act as a backup research nurse in the Phase I Unit as needed. Manage team performance, conduct evaluations, and foster a collaborative environment while ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice and regulatory standards. Develop operational dashboards to monitor key metrics such as screening volume and accrual rates.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 5+ years of experience as a registered nurse
- 3+ years of oncology nursing experience
- Previous clinical research experience
- Strong knowledge of oncology clinical trial conduct, protocol interpretation, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and project management skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting tools
- Two years of oncology clinical research experience
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience
- Early Phase (Phase I) oncology research experience
- Experience with molecular profiling and precision oncology
- Experience developing dashboards and operational metrics
- Experience leading multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Associate in nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience leading multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives
