Job Summary
Manager – REO is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the management and disposition of REO properties, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company objectives. Leads a team, drives performance, and implements process improvements to support the successful resolution of real estate assets. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day REO operations, ensuring policies and procedures are current and clearly communicated, monitoring performance metrics and reporting, managing staff and projects, identifying and implementing process improvements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, staying informed on mortgage servicing laws, and maintaining confidentiality. The role also involves overseeing vendor and employee performance, approving timesheets and PTO, and developing and maintaining reporting standards and dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent preferred; or a combination of 4–10 years of relevant experience and/or training
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet multiple deadlines consistently
