Job Summary
Develop regulatory filings for new services and tariff enhancements by analyzing FERC policy, interstate natural gas tariffs, and legal requirements. Lead the regulatory approval process from concept to final FERC submission while ensuring compliance and managing a team of Regulatory Analysts. Act as the primary point of contact for internal commercial teams and external agencies to drive initiatives and address potential non-compliance issues. Evaluate regulatory changes impacting operations and present findings to support strategic decisions for regulated pipeline assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of related experience
- At least 3 years of experience in regulatory affairs, interstate natural gas tariff management, or a similar function within the energy or pipeline industry
- Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
- Ability to make decisions and recommendations on issues that can have significant impact to the company
- Strong writing, critical thinking, research, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain stakeholder relationships to enable strategy execution
- All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based, without restrictions
- Background screening is required for all positions, which may include criminal and/or credit checks
Desired Qualifications
- Three to five years of regulatory work experience in the natural gas industry
- Proven ability to comprehend and interpret interstate natural gas tariffs in addition to FERC policy/regulations and to draft complex interstate natural gas tariff filings with limited oversight
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently within the framework of a team-oriented environment
