Job Summary
Senior Manager responsible for strategic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of municipal recreation services; leads division, oversees programs, bookings, events, client services, marketing, and administrative functions; ensures accessibility, inclusivity, financial sustainability, and alignment with community needs; develops revenue generation strategies, cost recovery models, and service sustainability plans; leads budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting; manages diverse workforce in a unionized environment; partners with community groups and stakeholders; fiduciary and risk management responsibilities; guides organizational change and labour relations; supports equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally responsive service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Business, Recreation/Leisure and/or related field
- Valid class “G” driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract to be held and maintained.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (“CRC”) and Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSC) prior to commencing work at the City of Belleville
