Manager, Radiation Protection (Superintendent)

Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of radiation protection at the nuclear power station, including dose monitoring, ALARA implementation, radioactive waste management, and respiratory protection programs. Manage the radiation monitoring equipment program, lead and develop the Radiation Protection team, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards. Prepare required records and reports, interface with regulatory agencies, and support the Emergency Plan while residing within site-specific ERO response time. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Radiation Protection at Vistra Nuclear Operations in Shippingport, Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- at least five years of supervisory experience in radiation protection at a commercial nuclear reactor facility
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years related technical training
- Industry experience (e.g., INPO)
- Experience in radiological safety areas such as rad waste management, ALARA, REMP/RETS, and dosimetry
- Meet or exceed Regulatory Guide 1.8 qualification requirements
