Job Summary
Quality Manager with ~10 years of progressive quality leadership experience in aerospace or automotive industries, leading quality teams to drive product and process excellence. Responsible for aligning Quality Management System (QMS) with AS9100/ISO 9001, implementing CAPA, and guiding structured problem-solving using Six Sigma, DMAIC, DIVE, and Shainin methodologies. Leads cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues, improve defect metrics and customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Owns and communicates quality targets, audits (internal, customer, and third-party), supplier quality programs, documentation and traceability, and training/coaching to develop quality professionals. Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and technicians, manage supplier and customer quality interfaces, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with measurable impact on defect rates, scrap, rework, and on-time delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing quality environment with increasing responsibility
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience with Shainin Red X or equivalent advanced problem-solving methods
- Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Track record of delivering measurable improvements in quality performance
- Experience with AS9100 and implementing lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement programs in a Quality Department
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Experience managing and leading a staff of inspectors and quality engineers in manufacturing
- CMM experience preferred
- Surface plate layout experience preferred
- Familiar with AS9100 or similar quality system standard
