Job Summary
Quality Assurance Manager at a water bottling facility responsible for leading the QA team, ensuring FDA/IBWA/FSMA compliance, implementing corporate QA programs, overseeing audits, managing budgets, developing staff, maintaining HACCP and SDS libraries, and driving process improvements across multiple shifts and locations. The role emphasizes collaboration with plant and QA managers, ensuring product safety and quality, monitoring finished product data, and supporting regulatory and customer requirements with a focus on continuous improvement and strong leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with a beverage, food or liquid consumer products manufacturer
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience
- HACCP Certified, or ability to become certified upon hiring
- Must be experienced with GMP’s, sanitation standards and FDA/SQF requirements
- Demonstrated continuous improvement skills, strong facilitation, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills
- Strong MS Office Skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to learn and use software programs such as Datalyzer, Margin Miner and JDE, Microsoft to maintain and evaluate quality data
- Experience in sanitation with ability to develop cleaning procedures based on risk and data
- Ability to analyze financial statements and company metrics as well as water capital projects and specifications
- Ability to work autonomously and simultaneously on multiple projects
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
- Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
