Job Summary
Manager Quality leads a team of employees and oversees the planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations of the Quality function to ensure the assigned area operates in a cost-effective and efficient manner. This role manages, plans, coordinates, and directs the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production and service consistent with established standards. Key responsibilities include evaluating quality control procedures and policies to develop and implement strategies to streamline departmental operations; developing and implementing overall quality control procedures; monitoring operations and schedules to meet deadlines; organizing the inspection area through the Quality Supervisor; analyzing waste, re-work, and claims information to drive corrective actions; collaborating with senior plant management to plan budgets; participating in short-term planning and projects addressing labor, materials, productivity, performance measures, and goals; working with supervisors on employee relations, problem solving, budgeting, scheduling, and equipment issues; maintaining a safe work environment per company safety program; ensuring quality, safety, and equipment maintenance procedures; documenting processes and proposing improvements; leveraging technology to enhance production processes and efficiency; performing other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years of management experience
