Job Summary
Manager Quality will lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive quality program for an advanced ceramics manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include developing and analyzing statistical data and product specifications to establish standards and reliability expectations; formulating and maintaining quality objectives aligned with production procedures; directing inspection and testing activities; developing and implementing monitoring methods and records; organizing training related to product quality and reliability; resolving quality issues, supporting recruiting and performance evaluations as needed; enforcing company policy; investigating customer complaints; driving continuous improvement and participation in cross-functional teams; and shaping the quality function to support broader business strategy. Preferred qualifications include ASQ certification and extensive experience with ISO 9001, FAI/PPAP, FMEA, Process Control Charts, and related quality-management practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus 5 years Quality related work experience or 10 years related work experience
- ASQ (Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) certification (preferred)
- Manufacturing experience highly desired
- Proficiency with ISO 9001
- Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation
- Understanding of manufacturing/quality techniques and quality systems
- Proficiency with FAI/PPAP, FMEA, and Process Control Charts
- Minitab/JMP experience preferred
- High language skills and math skills
