Job Summary
This role is responsible for daily QC oversight of PCI’s laboratory functions, ensuring all operational and technical activities in quality chemical, biopharmaceutical, and microbiological testing services are performed to standard. Key responsibilities include overseeing cGMP testing, managing QC staff, reviewing and approving investigations, maintaining client relations, and supporting regulatory information requests. Candidates should have a BS in a relevant scientific field, extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in a QC management role, and demonstrated ability to lead teams and engage in continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biology or related life sciences field
- 5+ years of Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry experience
- Experience in leading a commercial, aseptic drug product quality control team
- 5+ years previous QC management experience
- Quality leadership experience working on cross-functional teams to harmonize operational, testing and compliance processes
- Experience in the Management of +5 people
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a CMO or dealing with CMOs preferred
- Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
