Job Summary

Manage the Receiving Inspection department by setting objectives, providing guidance to direct reports, and engaging on the shop floor to coach facility personnel in quality methods. Assure compliance in program quality, risk management, safety, process improvement, subcontractor quality, and data management per contractual requirements. Develop and monitor operating unit quality metrics, corrective action boards, and audit processes to facilitate continuous improvement. Manage departmental budgets, program schedules, and performance metrics while interfacing with executives and customer representatives, including on-site DCMA. Maintain QMS policy compliance and promote workforce professional development. Requires Bachelor's degree with 8 years experience or equivalent, minimum 2 years leadership experience, and active Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship required. Salary range $133,100-$199,700. Located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience in Quality control, Inspection, Quality Assurance, Product Assurance, Mission Assurance, or Manufacturing
  • Master's Degree with 6 years of experience
  • Associate Degree with 10 years of experience
  • 12 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience (Integrated Product Teams leadership or direct-line management)
  • QMS (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc) experience
  • Experience providing solutions, coaching, and mentoring others in the use of quality principles and practices
  • Experience leading continuous improvement activities
  • Experience articulating concepts and concerns to technical and non-technical professionals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Data analysis
  • Problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Work with minimal oversight in a team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Relocation assistance may be available

  • Experience furthering continuous yet controlled improvements in organizations and processes and strengthening of workforce skills through application of lean thinking principles and tools
  • Experience formulating, documenting, planning, executing, and managing complex project plans and initiatives
  • Prior experience with inspections and tests
  • Prior experience working with union employees
  • Experience working with Government agencies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System certification process
  • Auditing experience (quality control processes preferable)
  • Experiencing managing teams performing GD&T
  • Active Secret Clearance
