Job Summary
Lead and manage all quality assurance and compliance initiatives, overseeing internal and external audits, assessments, and certification processes to maintain adherence to company, industry, and regulatory requirements. Monitor changes in regulations, identify and assess potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into product development. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and evolve test strategies to reduce potential for test escapes, actively testing products using manual and automated procedures. Collect and review data from fielded products to investigate issues and organize data to identify long-term product trends. Deliver compliance training programs to educate staff on regulatory requirements and best practices. This office-based role in Baltimore requires daily reporting to HQ and includes travel on occasion.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing and maintaining test suites for hardware and software products and supporting a detailed reporting structure
- In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Experience leading and managing small teams focused on QA related activities
- Experience collecting and investigating customer data for potential issues
- Ability to organize data to look for long term product trends
- Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar tool suite
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel on occasion
- Bachelor's degree in a Technology field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance management, or regulatory affairs, preferably in a technology or manufacturing industry
- Experience with the UL/CE Certification processes
- Security+, CSSP, or CISSP certification
Desired Qualifications
- knowledge of those associated with Emergency Management
- Experience testing hardware and software products independently and together as part of a larger system
- Experience holding a previous position on a quality team and/or familiarity with regulatory standards
- Experience with the application, documentation, and testing of administrative, technical, and physical security controls
