Job Summary
Provide onsite daily support and capacity building to teams staffing the 6th street center and mobile sites, ensuring all SOPs, policies, and workflows are followed. Analyze operational needs, develop systems, and create processes to support smooth program-wide operations. Deliver overdose prevention, recognition, and response training for staff, volunteers, and outside partners. Ensure work environments are healthy by monitoring supplies, assessing staff and participant flow, and communicating facility needs. Manage correct documentation and data entry while implementing quality assurance efforts. Provide treatment connections and health education to participants utilizing proactive motivational interviewing. Supervise a team of staff and volunteers, including time card and PTO management. Role includes evening and weekend coverage and occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three years' experience working with People Who Use Drugs
- knowledge of substance use and health concerns facing this community
- experience doing linkage to care and health education
- Staff supervision and management experience
- Ability to implement de-escalation techniques
- ability to follow safely protocols
- use sound judgment in making independent decisions
- Organizational skills
- ability to utilize Google and Microsoft suite of programs
- data entry
- ability to organize, analyze, develop, and track complex business and operations systems and spreadsheets
- Proof of valid CA driver's license
- excellent driving record
- Role may include evening and weekend coverage
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree preferred
- experience using motivational interviewing
- strong understanding of client centered and trauma informed practices and principles
- Preferably with time card and PTO management experience
- Knowledge of health and social services in San Francisco
- ability to speak candidly and knowledgeably about drug use, substance use treatment, and sexual health
