Job Summary
Manager, Project Management Level 2 role located in Palmdale, CA, with flexible work arrangements and a 9/80 schedule. Responsible for overseeing Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) execution within Production Programs, acting as the primary liaison between RIO teams and internal/external stakeholders, and directing an indirectly supervised team to identify, track, and address risks, issues, and opportunity actions. Drive end-to-end RIO workflow, ensure process compliance, monitor performance metrics for visibility into RIO health, and identify opportunities for process improvements and best-practice implementations across the Production Area. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years (or Master’s with 6 years) of project/program management experience, plus experience in risk/issue/opportunity management, and holding an in-scope US Government Secret clearance (or eligibility for PAR). Preferred qualifications emphasize leadership experience, ability to communicate complex technical issues to senior leadership, and a collaborative approach across diverse teams. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of project/program management experience OR Master’s Degree with 6 years of project/program management experience
- Experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management
- Experience managing projects and delivering results to support overall program objectives
- In-Scope US Government Secret clearance or enrolled in continuous evaluation and able to obtain Program Access (PAR)
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational, leadership, and team-management skills
- Detail-oriented with compliance and process integrity focus
- Ability to operate in high tempo environment and manage multiple stakeholders
- Travel up to 10% of the time
