Job Summary

Drive all operations for the Fabrication, Weld, SSW, and SSL departments from raw material intake through finished goods shipment, ensuring daily performance against Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPIs. Lead department supervisors, manage labor and equipment allocation, and execute process audits to minimize deviations. Develop and maintain training roadmaps, coach staff on performance goals, and investigate incidents to implement corrective actions. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, standardize operational knowledge, and lead Kaizen events to enhance process stability. This full-time, exempt role is based in Riverside, CA, with up to 10% domestic travel required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree requires an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 years in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
  • 5 years leading high performing teams
  • 2 years' experience executing a lean vision and journey
  • 2 years' experience with knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, SAP a plus
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods
  • Ability to analyze and collect data
  • Ability to make sound business judgments
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate the performance of employees by setting goals, monitoring performance, provides feedback and helps others to learn
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists
  • The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Ability to build consensus amongst one's peers in leadership
  • Ability to establish an effective, professional, and positive relationship with staff
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Simpson computer applications, such as SAP (or similar MRP software) and OEE software
  • The ability to effectively use MS Office products, and ERP system
  • Knowledge of elimination of waste, continuous improvement, S5, Kaizen, Quality Built in, JIT, Kanban, and leveled production
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications
  • Must be able to push or lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to sit, talk, hear, walk, and stand
  • Must be able to work in a professional office environment
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of domestic travel
  • Must be able to work in Riverside CA
  • Must be able to work full-time
  • Must be able to work exempt
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
