Manager, Production Planning

Job Summary

Implement and maintain comprehensive safety protocols to achieve zero injury rates while overseeing the Production Planning and Scheduling team. Conduct root cause analysis on delivery gaps to develop corrective actions, ensuring compliance with customer requirements across Assembly Ops, Machining Ops, and contract manufacturers. Develop and enforce robust processes for the master production schedule and material requirements planning using SAP APO, while engaging in Integrated Business Planning to manage capacity and clear-to-build plans. Collaborate with procurement and cross-functional teams to optimize raw material flow, expedite shipments, and balance plant utilization for superior supply attainment. Manage supply planning for global sites and external partners, ensuring alignment between system forecasts and actual production needs.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain related field
  • Minimum 10 years related experience in production planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Advanced proficiency with SAP APO
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA
  • APICS CPIM certification or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drive corrective actions
  • Strong leadership skills, self-directed and the ability to make independent decisions
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
  • Familiarity with cGMP
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485:2016
