Job Summary
Production Control Manager leads a team responsible for efficient scheduling and execution of manufacturing activities to meet production and customer requirements. Partners with Procurement and Planning to ensure material availability, maintain inventory accuracy, and support uninterrupted production. Oversees warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Develops methods to move materials efficiently through the supply chain, monitors metrics (availability, inventory accuracy, schedule efficiency), and implements strategies to optimize plant and product-line performance. Drives short- and long-term plans, supports continuous improvement, builds cross-functional relationships, tracks schedules and forecasts, resolves material shortages, conducts annual physical inventory and regular cycle counts, and coaches/directs direct reports while ensuring compliance with policies and safety.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of cross-functional experience in a Materials/Supply Chain leadership position
- CPG experience is a must
- Experience with Continuous Improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, TPM)
- Ability to resolve manufacturing issues using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
- Leadership and project management capabilities in a manufacturing environment
- Strong prioritization and execution skills in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration across organizational levels
- Effective presentation skills
- Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams
- Integrity, ethics, and trustworthiness in leadership
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Syspro experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Physical demands including standing/sitting and climbing stairs
