Job Summary
Lead and direct shift material management and operations at the Warsaw Plant. Oversee scheduling, inventory management, lineside delivery, and service parts management to ensure timely production requirements. Mentor and develop a high-performing team of automotive Material Operations and 3PL partners; drive safety, quality, and environmental compliance; coordinate with material planning, handling engineering, logistics, and production teams to align material strategies with build requirements and takt time. Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, schedule adherence, dock-to-stock time, and cycle-count accuracy. Drive 5S and kaizen initiatives to improve material flow, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across the factory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) with 12+ years related experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years (or equivalent experience) in automotive operations, material planning or supply planning
- Experience in production control, operations management, or manufacturing supply chain execution
- Strong understanding of WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.), Kanban and MES
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive daily execution
- Lean manufacturing, JIT, and Kanban experience
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel to suppliers, launch sites, or logistics hubs
