Job Summary
Own the 5-star standard from earliest development through launch readiness by standing for the consumer voice in cross-functional conversations and challenging Engineering and Product Development to resolve identified risks. Lead quality input into EB0 build reviews and drive Pre-MP VEGA hacks to identify issues before mass production lock, ensuring findings are tracked to resolution. Build predictive models at each build stage to forecast in-market rating performance and translate consumer validated results into prioritized recommendations for Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing. Ensure comprehensive testing plans cover performance, durability, safety, and consumer experience dimensions while connecting dots to safety, regulatory, and certification delivery across all markets. Own the quality and completeness of DFMEA ahead of TRA, pushing for rigor in design failure mode identification and mitigation actions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product quality, product development, or a related engineering or consumer insights function
- ideally within consumer electronics or home appliances
- Working knowledge of DFMEA methodology
- ability to review, challenge, and improve DFMEA quality
- Familiarity with safety testing, regulatory standards, and certification processes across at least one major market
- Analytical and data-literate
- comfortable working with IHUT data
- ability to build structured outputs
- ability to translate findings into engineering recommendations
- Confident communicator
- ability to challenge peers and senior stakeholders constructively
- ability to provide evidence rather than opinion
- Detail-oriented and structured
- ability to manage multiple NPD programmes simultaneously
- ability to maintain quality rigour on all programmes
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience leading or contributing to VEGA hack sessions or equivalent structured pre-production quality events
- Experience building or applying predictive quality models from consumer research or IHUT data
- Claims development experience
- understanding of substantiation requirements
- understanding of the interface between testing, legal, and marketing
- Multi-market regulatory knowledge across consumer electronics or home appliance categories
