Job Summary
Lead and develop the Process Engineering team in a 24/7 food manufacturing facility to optimize production processes, equipment performance, and product quality. Drive adoption of MES and data-driven tools for process monitoring, traceability, and performance analysis; analyze efficiency data to drive improvements and cross-functional cost-saving initiatives; oversee process enhancements to improve product quality, throughput, and cost efficiency while maintaining strict food-safety standards. Collaborate with Food Safety, QA, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet regulatory and customer requirements; develop and maintain detailed process documentation, SOPs, and equipment standards; manage vendor/contractor relationships and drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and 6+ years in process/industrial engineering with 5+ years in leadership; relocation assistance is provided. The role is based in Norwood, MA with flexible weekend/OT as needed.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 6+ years of process or industrial engineering experience in food manufacturing
- 5+ years in a leadership or project management role
- Proven experience with OEM equipment integration, food safety/sanitary design principles, and hygienic process improvements
- Strong analytical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software, and MES systems (preferred)
- Ability to work weekends or overtime as needed for project installations or line commissioning
