Job Summary
Senior privacy leader responsible for directing atVenu’s privacy program across GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and PIPEDA. Hands-on role drafting policies, managing DSARs, overseeing OneTrust Cookie Consent, reviewing contracts including DPAs, and partnering with Legal, Engineering, Product, and Operations to embed privacy-by-design in a SaaS/payments context. Leads DPIAs for new products/features, guides regulatory risk, supports incident response, evaluates AI/ML privacy implications, and drives privacy training and governance across the organization. Requires deep privacy regulatory knowledge, program management, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to operationalize privacy requirements in a fast-moving environment.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on privacy compliance experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or payments environments
- Proven knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and PIPEDA and their application to data sharing and transactions
- Experience conducting DPIAs and deriving actionable risk mitigations
- Experience reviewing and negotiating data processing agreements and vendor contracts with privacy implications
- Strong project management skills with ability to own a program and drive initiatives
- Experience assessing privacy and governance risks of AI and ML systems and evaluating third-party tools
- Familiarity with information security principles and how privacy controls intersect with security
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively in a lean, fast-moving environment
- Collaborative, pragmatic approach and ability to influence outcomes without direct authority
