Job Summary
Establish pre-Series Logistics operations and warehouse teams in Assembly and Bodyshop, managing supply of parts to the production line. Evaluate space and personnel requirements for new models, ensuring logistical equipment maintenance and emergency concept implementation. Guarantee operational safety, enforce IATF/VDA Standards, and lead audit preparation while executing problem-solving processes to prevent production stops. Analyze and authorize department budgets, optimize resource allocation, and coordinate KPIs to address target deviations. Based in Columbia, South Carolina, with 4-5 days in-office and occasional travel, this role supports the launch of the all-electric and HarvesterTM powertrains.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience in automotive production and logistics
- 5+ years of progressive experience building and managing teams
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Proven experience in Launch Management
- Strong understanding of Production environment and affinity to work with complex IT-Systems
- Proven experience in SAP WMS
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Extensive experience in managing operational teams and external logistic providers
- Detailed Knowledge and extensive Experience in Quality Management Systems (IATF, ISO, VDA, etc ...) and related process requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Residing in San Francisco: qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
- Residing in Los Angeles: qualified applicants with criminal histories
- This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City
- 4-5 days per week in the office
- Ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person
- Travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree is a plus
- An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
