Manager, Practice Accounting (Reporting)

Job Summary
Oversee a team of 4-8 accountants to manage accrual-based accounting functions for 2-3 partner practices, including monthly close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and US GAAP compliance. Lead the preparation of financial statements and P&L reporting, coordinate revenue recognition and technical accounting research, and present financial results to practice leadership and the CFO. Develop and maintain relationships with physician practice CEOs and administrators to ensure proper accounting processes and hold staff accountable for performance evaluations and process improvements. Collaborate with financial operations, treasury, and corporate teams to implement new standards and drive operational efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Accounting degree
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- preferably in healthcare
- Prior supervisory experience in managing accounting personnel
- Proven ability to build, manage and motivate personnel to create high performing teams
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, best practices, and the ability to research and document accounting and financial topics
- Strong excel skills
- Strong financial and business acumen with analytical thinking capacity
- Ability to travel to work with practices when required

- Strong technical accounting knowledge (revenue recognition, lease accounting, liability recognition, etc.)
- Ability to work in a geographically separated, cross-functional environment and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms
- Active CPA license or working toward CPA license
