Job Summary
Lead a team of 6 Tax Analysts and Reconciliation Specialists to ensure regulatory tax compliance for life insurance and deferred annuity products. Oversee year-end tax reporting, sign off tax jobs for printing of tax slips and XML submissions to CRA/RQ, manage reconciliations and AML risk, and coordinate regulatory reporting (CRS/FATCA) while partnering with regulators, clients, and internal teams. Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, uphold financial integrity, and mentor staff to develop technical and professional capabilities. Based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent
- Experience with year-end tax reporting for production of client tax slips and submission of XML files to CRA and Revenue Quebec
- Experience overseeing reconciliation of corporate bank accounts
- People management experience including developing and coaching, ability to motivate and unlock potential of our people
- Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
