Job Summary
PMO Operations Manager role responsible for mobilization, transition, governance and ongoing support of shared services delivery from India to US stakeholders across Engineering, IT, and Business Operations. Key duties include mobilization setup (operating model, governance structures, RACI, process readiness), knowledge transfer and service transition, centralized PMO support with project discipline (scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies), executive dashboards and reporting, and governance cadence across geographies. Requires hands-on PMO tooling (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, Excel, PPT), experience with PMO methodologies (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile/SAFe), and strong stakeholder management. Education: Bachelor’s degree; 15+ years in PMO/Transition/Operations in Shared Services/GBS; ability to work with US/global stakeholders from India; ITIL certification advantage. The role emphasizes confidentiality, policy compliance, cross-cultural collaboration, and overlapping US time zones when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- 15+ years of experience in PMO / Transition / Operations roles in Shared Services or a GBS
- Hands-on experience with PMO tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, Excel, PPT)
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile / SAFe (preferred, not mandatory)
- ITIL or Service Management certifications (advantage)
- Strong communication and executive-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
- Experience supporting US or global stakeholders from India
