Job Summary
Manage activities for System Health Teams and represent Plant Support Engineering on outage management teams. Direct monitoring of plant systems to optimize performance and develop action plans to resolve plant performance issues. Facilitate staffing activities, conduct performance reviews, and allocate personnel and budget to meet department/site goals. Lead station troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision making while coordinating large work-scope projects across work groups. This role supports maximized station efficiency for Vistra Nuclear Operations at the Beaver Valley site in Shippingport, Pennsylvania.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) / related Science degree or equivalent work experience
- Detailed knowledge of power plant systems, specifically pumps, motors, and their auxiliary systems, including engineering principles associated with plant design and operation
- Extensive knowledge of Codes, standards, plant specific procedures and regulatory requirements governing the design and operation of nuclear power plants
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling and cost analysis
- Strong overall business acumen
- Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department
- Problem-solving techniques to address issues
- Communication – must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management and/or represent Vistra's interests to outside agencies
