Job Summary
Plant Manager for the Youngsville, NC facility responsible for leading a strong leadership team and driving Operational Perfection. Focus areas include safety, quality, material usage, scrap reduction, efficiency, and resource utilization, with accountability for production, maintenance, quality and shipping/receiving. Lead continuous improvement programs, implement lean manufacturing principles, coordinate with maintenance/engineering to resolve issues, and develop the ONE Southwire culture through daily huddles and staff development. Ensure cost-effective control over capital expenditures, operating expenses, manpower, wages and salaries; manage plant performance and drive organizational capability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related engineering field
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous management experience required
- Understanding of Lean Thinking principles
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Interpersonal skills
- PC literacy with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP and Advaris
