Job Summary
Oversee GSE Supervisors and maintenance operations within the Plant Maintenance Team. Manage preventative maintenance, in-service rates, and corrective actions; review aircraft damage and injuries for root-cause resolution; coordinate with GSE Fleet for repairs; establish part allocations and inventory control; ensure safety, compliance, dependability, and reliability; maintain collaborative relations with union workforce and contract language; guide training needs; support departmental budgeting and tooling requirements; ensure required certifications and access credentials as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent GSE mechanical experience/training
- 5 years' experience in area of responsibility
- 3 years' experience managing, supervising and/or directing workgroups in a union environment
- Automotive, ground support equipment (GSE) or heavy equipment operations experience in production along with parts procurement as a manager, supervisor, or lead mechanic
Desired Qualifications
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
- Budgeting experience
- Experience managing in a union environment
- Experience in automotive or ground support equipment maintenance management
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Fleet Focus (or similar FMIS)
- Ability to lead and motivate employees
- Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines
- Knowledge of GSE maintenance operations and safety/compliance requirements
