Job Summary
First-level manager overseeing the planning team to optimize inventory levels, planning accuracy, production schedules, and resource allocation. Leads day-to-day activities of the planning group, collaborates with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, manufacturing, customer service, senior management), reviews inventory turns, manages purchasing for product groups, develops demand forecasts with forecasting data, and ensures alignment of planning with production and distribution objectives. Emphasizes effective communication, problem solving, and process improvements to streamline inventory and production planning. Direct reports responsibilities and a comprehensive benefits package are noted as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience
- 1-3 years of management experience
- Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively
- High level of integrity and discretion with sensitive data
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in inventory planning, forecasting, and production scheduling
