Job Summary

Lead global physical security and threat intelligence activities across AustralianSuper's domestic and international operations. Monitor emerging risks, produce intelligence briefings and risk assessments, and oversee travel risk, incident support, and security monitoring. Partner with business leaders, vendors, and external stakeholders to deliver effective security outcomes and support executive activities for higher-risk events. Drive continuous improvement across security processes, reporting, governance, and operational controls while providing risk-based advice to senior leaders. This role combines security risk management, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight within a hybrid environment for an Australian or New Zealand citizen.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Physical Security, Security Intelligence, Security Risk Management or related security disciplines within a large and complex organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leaders and executives
  • Experience analysing security risks, threats and vulnerabilities and translating insights into practical business recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in dynamic environments
  • Strong judgement with the ability to determine when to escalate, influence or drive action to reduce risk
  • Experience supporting security incidents, threat management, travel risk or protective security activities
  • Strong written communication skills, including preparation of risk assessments, executive briefings and intelligence reports
  • A proactive, energetic and collaborative approach, with a desire to contribute to the ongoing maturity of a growing security function, and experience, or a desire to take on leadership responsibilities
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency status

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working across international operations and global security risk environments
  • Understanding of geopolitical, travel risk, insider threat and emerging threat landscapes
  • Experience implementing security frameworks, governance practices and operational improvements
  • Qualifications in Security, Risk Management, Intelligence, Emergency Management, Criminology or related disciplines
