Job Summary
Manage payroll schedules and ensure all transactions run on time with extreme accuracy, including reconciling bank and organizational records. Process federal, state, and local tax reports while analyzing payroll data for Finance and Talent & Culture. Balance the workload to cover critical daily functions, resolve escalated issues, and implement new procedures to improve quality and consistency. Ensure accurate processing of updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rates, including deductions for Multi-state, 401(k), H.S.A, and F.S.A. Provide prompt customer service for employee payroll inquiries and support the TransitCheck program. Collaborate with the Benefits Team on invoices and partner with the Sr. Director for Total Rewards on compensation projects and market assessments. This hybrid role includes 1-2 days per month in the NYC office. Full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work as duties demand.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in corporate environment
- This is a hybrid role with only 1-2 days per month in the NYC office
- Days of work are Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
- Office 365 or similar suites
- Competency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables & vlookup) or similar software
Desired Qualifications
- Ceridian Dayforce is a plus
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or other APA certification is a plus
